Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-23

These terms govern your use of elkridgeacademy.com, operated by Elk Ridge Academy. By using the site you agree to them.

1. Independent study resource

We are an independent study resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any exam-owning or certifying body. Exam names and topic structures are referenced descriptively to identify subject matter, and nothing here is a claim of endorsement by the body that owns an exam.

We do not promise that you will pass any exam. Our content is study material, not the exam itself, and it may not reflect the most recent changes to an exam. Always confirm requirements with the official examining body. The one thing we do commit to is a refund: you can ask for your money back within 7 days of buying a pass — see section 6.

2. Free content

The free practice questions, explanations, and study guides are available without an account and without payment. We may add, change, or retire content at any time.

3. Accounts

An account is free. You sign in with Google or an emailed login link; we do not hold passwords. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you must have the authority to use the email address you sign in with. You may delete your account at any time from your account page.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have a parent or guardian’s permission to use the site and to make any purchase.

4. Paid course access

We offer one kind of paid access: a single-exam access pass — a one-time payment that unlocks the paid features for one exam for a set access window, stated on that course’s page before you buy (twelve months for the ASVAB pass, six months for the PTCB pass, six months for the TEAS pass and six months for the HESI A2 pass). Each exam is priced separately, and nothing we sell renews automatically.

Paid features add study tooling — progress tracking across sessions, the full question bank, and personalized study plans. They do not remove or replace the free content.

The current price is shown at checkout before you pay.

5. Billing and cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us. A pass is a one-time payment: it does not renew, nothing is charged again later, and there is nothing to cancel. Access runs for the access window stated on the course’s page when you buy (twelve months for the ASVAB pass, six months for the PTCB pass, six months for the TEAS pass and six months for the HESI A2 pass), counted from the purchase date.

If a payment fails or is refunded, access to the paid features may be suspended.

6. Refunds

Money-back guarantee. Full refund if you ask within 7 days of your purchase. One refund per customer. Ask from the account page: the Refunds section has a Request a refund button that reaches us with your account attached. We refund the pass you bought, in full, to the original payment method in Stripe; how quickly it appears after that is your bank’s, not ours.

One refund per customer. If something is broken, or you were charged in error, tell us through the same form and we’ll put it right.

Where local law gives you a right to a refund (for example a statutory cooling-off period), that right applies and overrides this section. Nothing here is a promise of a particular score, of a pass, or of any particular job: those depend on the examining body and on facts outside our control.

7. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the question bank; do not resell or redistribute our content; do not attempt to defeat access controls, rate limits, or answer checking; and do not use the site to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Our content

The site, its content, and its branding belong to us and are protected by copyright. You may study from it, quote brief excerpts with attribution, and link to it. You may not reproduce substantial parts of it, or use it to train a competing product.

9. Email

We send service email (login links, receipts, account notices) as part of running the service. Marketing email is sent only with consent and can be turned off at any time from your account page or the unsubscribe link in any such email.

10. Availability and changes

The site is provided as-is. We aim to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue free features. If we make a material change to these terms we will update the date above.

11. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to that venue.

13. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Before filing a claim against us, you agree to first contact us using the support option in your account and give us 30 days to resolve the issue. If we can’t resolve it, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Claims must be brought individually — there is no class, consolidated, or representative action.
